I’m Rebecca and I’ve been a nail technician for over 6 years. I started out offering nails from my attic bedroom at home, then I went mobile for a short time, before then renting a desk in a salon. Very soon after, I expanded and got my own salon! I now offer all aspects of nails and beauty, as well as training courses. I have a huge passion for what I do, and I absolutely love my job! I used Claw Culture on my first ever nail training course - I loved the products straight away and I have used them ever since! Bonded permanent jewellery - bracelets, anklets, necklaces, rings and earrings (all made to measure, you choose your own chain, charms, etc)

Aesthetics - From fillers, anti wrinkle treatments, Botox, plasma, fat dissolving, B12 injections, skin tag and wart removal

Training is available in most of the above areas - fully accredited and insured by The Beauty Guild.

Which 3 Claw Culture gel polish colours are your faves?

Sooo hard to choose just 3! Definitely Pegasus, as it looks gorgeous over the top of any colour, or even just on its own. Ballerina is an amazing colour - with 2 layers, as a full colour, or 1 thin layer makes the perfect base for when doing nail art or French tips over the top. My own personal favourite is Tropical Sunset - it's a stunning, vivid orange colour and I wore it for months!

What would be your advice for anyone just starting out in the nail industry?

My advice would be to practice, practice, practice. Invest in a good quality product (like Claw Culture!). Advertise plenty - social media and word of mouth are the best forms of advertisement!

I'm Jane and I’ve been in the industry for over twelve years, having had a break to have my children, I've now been back for six years. I started out working from home and have expanded into my lovely new space, a summer house; my salon in the garden, where I provide all my beauty treatments. I love family life and we are always on adventures, but I also enjoy a good film or pottering in my salon, playing around with products and creating new sets.

What would be your advice for anyone just starting out in the nail industry?

On starting out as a nail technician I would say it’s all about practice, practice, practice! We all have our ups and downs, just keep at it and don’t be too hard on yourself....you will become the best.

Purchase great products, such as Claw Culture, this is essential for a returning clientele, if you use an infallible product you have confidence in, you will have a successful business! Also, practice makes perfect – do your own nails to see where your faults lie.

My advice to anyone starting out is never give up, even when you don't see your own progress, have confidence that with every set you're getting better.  Keep pictures to track your progress.
