Safety of Gel Polish
Statement in respect of HEMA
Following on from the BBC investigation surrounding gel polish and an increase in allergic reactions, we confirm that our products are manufactured to high standards and requirements complying with UK Legislation and Safety requirements.
Claw Culture gel polish does contain HEMA however this causes allergies in only a very small number of individuals and there has been no case reported to us of allergy or reaction. Gel Polish application is very safe for the majority of people; however, we would always recommend a gel polish manicure be undertaken by a Professional.
Gel polish should always be applied in a well-ventilated area, stored safely, and discarded within 12 months of opening. Nail Technicians should wear appropriate PPE and cure with lamps over 36 watts to ensure nails are adequately dried. Risk Assessments should always be in place and training undertaken accredited by Professional Bodies.
As ever, we will continue to support our Claw community in offering safe and affordable products. Should you require any further information, please contact us at sales@clawculture.com and we will be happy to help.
